The holidays are always a special time at .decimal, from the food, to decorations, to family. There’s always a sense of togetherness that comes from this time of year. Further it’s a time we get to reflect on who we are and what we do. Halloween, however, was never a day that .decimal went all out for… until this year when we decided to tie in the Halloween spirit in with our .decimal United race.
Each team was told they had the opportunity to participate in a costume contest to take place during lunch. Well, everyone at .decimal likes a challenge!
Committed to Excellence showed up as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles…
…Team Always Do What’s Right jammed out as a Grammy worthy rock band……Team Continuous Improvement fancied us all with their parody of The Office…
…and finally, Team Love What You Do tickled us as minions.
The competition was the peak of the day with Always Do What’s Right winning for their rocker costumes, and Kevin taking home the MVP award after shaving his head for the occasion; all the same, it was enjoyable to see everyone walking throughout the halls with a sense of the child-like humor that we remember from our trick-or-treating days.
But dressing up wasn’t the only extent of this ghoulish occasion. The Corner Cafe catered garbage pail salads, devilishly delicious deviled eggs, jack-o-lantern stuffed bell peppers and grilled mystery meat for us all to enjoy.
And trust us, it was delicious! Thank you, Chef Michael! For more information on The Corner Cafe, here’s their website:
All in all, Halloween was one of the best days we’ve had at .decimal and we look forward to what the rest of the holidays will bring.
But, to add to our giving culture, the first employee to say the word “skeleton” to Mary will earn a special prize!
