Giving Hope

In the tradition and spirit of the .decimal United program, we spent the fundraising element collecting and donating non-perishable food items for the homeless this holiday season.

This time of year is stapled with the principle that giving is always better than receiving, and we can attest to that!

Though it was a competition, there was never a moment that the true motivation faded from us: we were going to be feeding someone who didn’t know where their next meal was coming from.

In total, we collected 585 cans, 20 mac and cheese boxes, 11 bags of rice, 72 Ramen meals, pasta, sauces, breads, cakes, and so much more.

These meals were donated to Rescue Outreach Mission of Central Florida, the only homeless shelter in Sanford, whose mission is getting those who come on their feet by providing shelter, food, clothes, counseling and a healing environment.

It warms our hearts that we are fortunate and able enough to give to those in need. We’d like to thank Rescue Outreach Mission of Central Florida and everything they do for the Sanford community.
